Sero - epidemiological study on ovine toxoplasmosis

The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence of infection with Toxoplasma Gondii in sheep serological tests were used for the detection of infection. Serum samples from 540 male and female sheep were examined. The aim of the investigation was also to find out the role of cats and mice in the epidemiology of ovine toxoplasmosis. Toxoplasma Gondii was isolated from three cats, this was the first isolation of the parasite from cats. The role of T. Gondii in ovine abortion in three farms was not confirmed in this study
