The mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) depend on the type, length, and volume of glass fibers, matrix composition, fabrication method, curing regimen and storage conditions. In the present study, effects of material proportion (length and volume of glass fibers) on the GFRC have been examined. Test specimens were cast using ordinary portland cement, four different volume contents. To compare the behavior of the GFRC with plain concrete (control specimen: V/C = 0.50, Slump = 20 cm, Air content = 2.0%, Compressive strength at the age of 38 days = 350 kgf/square centimeter). Results of an experimental investigation to determine the workability (slump and VB test) and the fluexural and compression strength of the GFRC are presented
