Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of superdrying (3% moisture content) and heat treatment (40 deg C) on the germination and seedling vigor of five-month old hybrid seeds of Serrana x LT-7. GA3-treated seeds showed faster germination velocity in petridishes than the superdried and heat-treated seeds. However, in soil germination medium, seeds subjected to superdrying and heat treatment for a duration of 30 and 45 days had similar germination velocity to that of the GA3-treated seeds and produced more vigorous seedlings than the latter treatment
