An experiment on 60 Astra B chicks in 3 days of life exposed to 38, 32 or 15 C for 3 hours was carried out. The significant decrease of ascorbic acid content in adrenal glands of stressed chicks was observed. No effect of environmental temperature on plasma thyroxine and triiodothyronine level was stated
