Yielding and chemical composition of some grass species and varieties dependence on soil type and mode utilization
1992
Nowak, W.
In the years 1978-81 field and laboratory tests were carried out with 7 grass species. The grasses were sown out into bottomless pots. The pots were filled up with soil of 3 agronomic categories: light, medium and heavy, markedly differentiated in respect of mechanical composition, reaction and soil nutrient availability. The pots were burried in the ground and in principle supplied with the precipitation water only. The tests were done to compare the productive possibilities of particular species and varieties with 2 modes of utilization - pasture and cutting, as well as their fodder value and mineral composition
