Effect of an inoculant, molasses and propionic acid addition on quality and nutritive value of red clover silage

Fresh or wilted red clover with probiotic inoculant (PI), molasses (M) or propionic acid (PA) addition was ensiled. The significantly higher dry matter content in haylage than in silage was stated. The significant higher improving effect of drying than inoculation or molasses addition on silage quality was noted. No effect of PI, PA or M on red clover silage organic matter digestibility was observed
