Effect of genetic and environmental factors on milk yield and cow milk composition. Pt. 1. Lactation number

Studies on 312 Black-and-White cows as well as on Holstein-Friesian crossbred ones of different genotypes in 3 herds were carried out. The progressive milk yield increasing between the first and third lactation irrespective of the cow genotype was stated. No effect of the lactation number and herd on the milk protein, fat and dry matter content was observed
