Geodesic evaluation of dynamic bed changes of channelized rivers

The elaborated methods permit the determination of qualitative and quantitative factors describing river bed deformations. The results of the geodetic measurements have been connected with hydrological, hydraulic and geotechnical features. The quantitative analysis has been based on the mean bed ordinate of the river cross section. An informatic system "RZEKA" has been elaborated. The field investigations have been performed in the period 1958-92 on around 70 km long section of Odra river below the last dam "Brzeg Dolny" on the channelized part of the river. The results and the results of previous investigations (1925-58) have been stored in the data bank. This section is exposed to local and linear erosion. The mean bed level decrease round 5 cm per year, and the erosion range increase round 1 km per year
