Milk yield and composition in cows of three genotypes during the three first lactations

A study on Black-and-White (cb) pure breed cows as well as on cb x Holstein-Friesian (hf) European (E) and American (A) strains crossbred ones was carried out. The significant higher milk yield in E and A crossbred cows than in cb ones was stated. The higher fat content in the milk of cb ones was stated. The higher fat content in the milk of cb cows than in milk of E and A cows was observed. No significant effect of cow genotypes on milk protein and dry matter as well as casein content in cows was estimated
