Effect of biotin addition into the complete mixture on performance of growing pigs

Two experiments on 180 Polish Landrace gilts given a diet supplemented with biotin, rapeseed oil or biotin and rapeseed oil were carried out. The fattening period from 25 up to 100-115 kg of body weight in gilts was estimated. The significant beneficial effect of biotin and rapeseed oil supplementation but not biotin only on weight gain and feed conversion efficiency in gilts growing from 25 up to 100-114 kg of body weight was stated. No effect of diet biotin supplementation on carcass traits was observed
