The effect of zinc and silicon addition on fur quality of silver fox in time of fur ripeness was studied. Zinc did not significantly affect the length and thickness of setae. In females there was a tendency of moderate shortening of setae. Silicon does not have an impact on morphological properties of setae. It has a positive effect on fur thickness.
