Observation of grain losses in the operation of maize adapters

The harvesting losses of maize for grain caused by maize picker adapters FKA and KMD-6 were observed. The measurements confirmed that the adapter causes minimally two thirds of grain losses of maize crop. The machine is the adjusted cereal harvesting machine. The losses caused by the adapter FKA achieve 2-7 percent and grain losses on the ground behind the adapter KMD-6 represent on the average 0.5 percent of grain yield. The measurement confirmed that the high losses caused by the adapter are significantly affected by biological properties of the hybrid.
