Possibilities of degradation of petroleum substances in samples of contaminated soil from the locality Hodonin-Nesyt (CSFR) were studied in laboratory conditions. The most effective was the microbial community Geotrichum candidum (PSG 89) that was able to degrade about 70 percent of petroleum substances during 12 days in dependence on the rate of adaptation of microbial population and conditions for its growth.
