Qualitative indices of fodder beets and the dynamics of their changes during storage

Qualitative indices of 4 varieties of fodder beet (Buciansky Zlty Valec, Kyros, Rosamona and Monoval) and dynamics of their changes during storage in a silage pit was studied. All varieties had a high content of utilizable energy (0.618-0.629) and a low content of N-substances in the dry matter (67.10-96.05 g). The content of mineral substances was low in all cultivars. Buciansky Zlty Valec had the highest stability of the observed properties. The changes of qualitative indices were relatively low during storage.
