Taxonomy of the Fishes, Genus Rasbora in Thailand

Systematic study of Pla Siew, Genus Rasbora in Thailand was conducted. It is based partially on materials newly collected in many places of Thailand and supplementing with valuable collections of various local institute. R.einthovenii, R.bankanensis, R.dorsiocellala, R.pauciperforata, R.urophthalma have not been reported previously from Thailand and one of these 16 species could be a new species. A brief diagnosis and inllustration are present for each species. The keys to mention taxa and species are provided. The discussion of habitat, behavior and distribution are also given.
