Study of naturally parasitic infection in native chickens

Study of naturallly parasitic infection was undertaken in 65 native chickens. These chickens were raised in a clean concrete floor stall for 1.5 months. Then they were brought to raise on the ground which was used to raise chickens previously. Five chickens were killed every week in order to search for parasites from various organs. The first detection of Ascaridia galli and Raillietina tetragona was found in 1 out of 5 chickens at the third week after raising on the ground. While the first detection of Heterakis gallinarum and R. echinobothrida was found in 1 out of 5 chickens at the fifth week and the sixth week after raising on the ground, respectively. The greatest number of chickens was found to be infected with A. galli, whereas the lesser chickens were found to be infected with R. tetragona, G. gallinarum and R. echinobothrida, respectively.
