Effect of urea on vase life of Dendrobium Venus No.9
1987
Visitsak Poowattananont
Urea at concentrations of 0,2,4 and 8 g/l was singly applied as foliar application to orchid plants at four stages of flower development. Foliar application of urea at all concentrations had no significant effect on length of inflorescences, number and size of florets and percentage of bud opening. The vase life of inflorescence was significantly reduced by urea at 4 and 8 g/l applied at first opening of florets and 2,4 and 8 g/l at 50 % bud opening
