Highlights of agricultural research work going on at Kawanda Agricultural Research Institute. Strategic, Applied and Adaptive research is carried out on perennial cash and food crops including robusta and arabica coffee, cocoa, oil palm, bananas, mangoes, avocadoes, citrus, pawpaws and sugarcane for which new varieties are being screened and production packages such as disease and pest control and nutritional requirements are being perfected. Other researh support activities include; plant introduction, crop protection, soil and water management
