This paper present the topic of irrigation scheduling emphasizing the determination of right moment for irrigation. The aim of the work was to determine this moment according to the plant water status indicators such as: leaf water potential, relative water content and stomatal conductance in correlation with soil moisture content. Observing both diurnal and seasonal course of mentioned parameters under different water treatments of sweet sorghum, we may conclude that right moment for irrigation is to be just before value of - 0.5 MPa of predown leaf water potential is reached.
