The field experiment on the pear Bela di Djuno was carried out under the conditions of high numerousness of population of over 300 imagoes of Psylla pyri F1 summer form in 50 beatings, the average maximum temperature of 22.4 deg C. 7, 14, 21 and 30 days after the first treatment, amitraz resisted the pressure of growing Psylla pyri population only with two sprayings. Psylla pyri males were more susceptible to amitraz activity than females. The most significant adulticide and larvacidal activity was in the treatment of amitraz plus diflubenzuron. That combination gave the slightest secretion of honeydew and the symptoms of sooty mould were not found.
