[The research for the blossom of the bud of olive in Jonike (Vlora) and Adriatik (Tirana) areas]

In the area of Vlora the first morphological changes of buds for "Frantoio" species occur in the first days of January. In the area of Tirana these changes occur in the last days of this month. The accumulation of the low temperatures (below 7 deg C) in Vlora area (for about 182 h) and Tirana area (for about 710 h) decreased not only the number of buds but also the flowers. The blossomed buds are decreased, and so the number of flowers varying from 15-16 in the area of Tirana to 12 in the area of Vlora. Thus the span of time between the morphological change of buds and their blossom is larger for Vlora than Tirana and production of fruits is lower
