Comparison of meristem clones of potato variety "Vigri"

It has been investigated in Estonian Research Centre of Plant Biotechnology EVIKA in Saku that meristem clones can have differences in yield and other commercial values, such as tubers starch content and disease resistance. This statement is based on experiments with 111 clones of potato varieties. A field comparison test with 11 clones of potato variety "Vigri" was carried out on Eerika Experimental Station in 1993. It was found out that there were also differences in yield, starch content of tubers, and time when plants reach anthesis between different meristem clones
