Fenazaquin, a new selective acaricide for treating orchards and vineyards
1994
Dutton, R.
Fenazaquin, a new quinazoline-type acaricide developed by DowElanco against panonicide and tetranicide mites, was tested in orchards and vineyards. In the dosage recommended it proved minimally harmful to a number of useful organisms. Its effect being extremely short, the predatory mite Thyphlodromus pyri multiplied within a short period after Fenazaquin treatment. Effectivity is due to the inhibition of the electron transport in the complex of the mitochondrial respiratory chain
