Determination of dithio-carbamate residues by gas chromatography, using head space techniques
1994
Kadenczki, L. | Szucs, E.
The authors describe a fast and reliable screening method to determine dithio-carbamate residues based on measuring CS2 by gas chromatography. The CS2 is released from the dithio-carbamates by 4 N stannochloride solution by putting the infusion vessel for 1 hour into a 90 C degrees C water bath. From the air-space of the vessel the gas (200-500 microl) is injected into the gas chromatography by using a gas-tight syringe. The analysis is carried out with a flame-photometrical detector in "S" position. In recovery studies with Mankoceb 97.89+-5.73 o/o was recovered in the 0.1-5.0 ppm range
