Effect of enzyme supplementation on the nutritive value of IPA-99 barley in chicken diets

A new dual purpose barley (H. vulgare L.) variety IPA-99, recently released in Iraq, was evaluated for its nutritional value in poultry diets supplemented with enzyme complex (Roxazyme). IPA-99 barley was found to contain 11.8 crude protein and 3288 kcal/kg true metabolizable energy. One 49-day feeding trial was conducted with 750 one-day old males of broiler parent stock.
