Studies on the antibiosis of actinomyces for plant pathogenic fungi, 2: Antibiosis for Gibberella, Botrytis, Botryosphaeria, Botryodiplodia, Sphaeropsis and Cochliobolus

Evaluation was made of the antibiosis of 138 actinomyces strains for Gibberella zeae, Botrytis cinnerea, Botryosphaeria dothidea, Botryodiplodia sp., Sphaeropsis sp., and Cochliobolus miyabeanus. The relative frequency (%) of antibiotic actinomyces was 40 strains (30.0%) for Gibberella, 63 strains (45.7%) for Botrytis, 36 stains (26.1%) for Botryosphaeria, 23 strains (16.7%) for Botryodiplodia, 65 strains (47.1%) for Sphaeropsis and 78 strains (56.5%) for Cochliobolus. Actinomyces showing antibiosis to all 6 pathogenic fungi were 16 strains
