Breeding biology of lapwing Vanellus vanellus in habitats with different human impact

A mean clutch size, egg volume and hatching success figures of nesting lapwings were obtained and compared between arable farmland and other species' breeding habitats like meadows at the seashore and on lake islands and pastures on agricultural land. Hatching success estimated according to Mayfield method was lower on arable land than in group of other habitats (tab.3); this was caused by land cultivation (tab.4).
