[How to prepare the soil and sow sugarbeet]

Main tasks of field preparation for sugarbeet sowing including soil tillage, fertilization and annual weed killing are explained. The results of the studies at Mezotne experiment station in 1986-1990 on presowing soil tillage are analysed. Sowing technology, seed sowing rates, the use of sowing machines are discussed. Approximate sowing rates depending on the sowing machine gear teeth number are shown in a table.
