Variability and interrelation several quantitative characters in the collection of rye
1993
Grochowski, L. (Instytut Hodowli i Aklimatyzacji Roslin, Smolice (Poland))
The 24 varieties from the rye collection were investigated in the years 1991-92 at 4 places. Among these varieties were 4 hybrids. The variability and interdependence of following quantitative characters were evaluated: date of heading, plant height, number of ears per sq. m, grain yield, 1000 grain weight, hectolitre weight, protein content in grain and protein yield in grain. The analysis of variance showed significant differences between varieties, years and places. The hybrids yielded significantly better than the population varieties
