Analysis of generalization process of chosen elements represented by relative cartodiagrams

Decreasing map scale consent to increasing of generalization content of map. In the paper the way of fitting various levels of generalization for analysed elements in choose map scale is presented. Analysis was made for: forest land, arable land and grassland presented on maps in absolute quantification. In the work 3 criteria were formulated. Based on them the way of determination map scale in which generalization subthreshold should be applied was given - exchange continuous cartodiagram by interval cartodiagram. The determinations were carried out on the ground of map connected with 3 forms of ground use - for Oborniki Sl. country
