Research concerning the content of HCH and DDT in agricultural precincts from Danube Delta

Total HCH and DDT quantities over maximum admissible limits were found in those zones where the agricultural work was done over 20 years (e.g. Stana farm, Pardina). In those farms massif quantities of pesticides were applied (e.g. Cimpoi farm). These farms require strict restrictions of pesticide use. Residual quantities in most stations were extended between 0.01 and 0.1 ppm near-maximum admissible limit. For all these zones it is necessary to use pesticides very carefully and only from DDBRA range. The residues pursuit is very important and the research must be extended to traffic range (water, benthos).
