Efficient application of phosphorus fertilizers in agrocoenoses [grey forest soils]

Results of 13 years-long field experiment on the effect of prolonged fertilization on the available phosphates content in 1m depth of the grey forest soil, on phosphorus consumption by plants and on crop yields are presented. The grey forest soil fertility in terms of phosphorus is peculiar by the increase of mobile phosphates with depth, which are better available for barley and clover and less available for winter wheat and maize. In order to raise the soil phosphate level to its optional low limit (10-12 mg/100g) the phosphates influx should equal 80 kg/ha P2O5 per 1mg/100g, not taking into account their removal with yields
