Health state of the forests in the Eastern Slovakia catchment area of Hnilec and Hornad rivers

The results of the detection of forest damage in the forests loaded by immissions in the catchment of Hnilec and Hornad rivers in accordance with modified methods of international monitoring of health state of forests in a dense network of 783 permanent sample plots of 1x1 km are given. Total number of monitored trees was 11 581. Salvage fellings were calculated from the data on trees damage and from the data of valid forest management plans. Possibilities of further use of the results are given.
