Effect of GA3 on the alteration of male flower and pollen grains in Inbred line-super sweet corn DMR

GA3 solution at concentrations 0, 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1,000 ppm were applied to the seed of inbred line-super sweet corn DMR. The seed were soaked in those solutions for 6 hours before sowing into the experimental field. The treated seeds had completely germinated and grown up under normal condition. The experiment was conducted during November 26, 1986 through January 19, 1987 at Kampangsaen Campus, Kasetsart University, Nakhonpathom province. The results were that all concentrations of GA3 had no influence on alteration of pollen quantity; fresh and dry weight of corn plants, tassels; tassel length, plant height or pollen germination.
