Studies of carbon dioxide treatment and types of container for strawberries

Studies of CO2 treatment and types of containers for strawberries were conducted on March 6-21, 1980 at Postharvest Laboratory, Horticulture Department, Kasetsart University, Bangkok. The results indicated the storage life of strawberries at 35 deg. Fahrenheit could be extended to 15 days in 4.5 mil PE bags of modified atmosphere condition initially with 5 and 10 % CO2. Types of containers had no effect on their storage life.
