1991
Best, R.A. | Mohammed, F. | Baksh, C.
The Jamaica Hope breed is the oldest of the new tropical diary breeds. They are said to have 80 % Jersey, 15 % Sahiwal and 5 % Holstein Freisan blood. The appraisal of the performance of the first Jamaica Hope herds in Trinidad suggests that the breed is well adapted to Trinidad conditions and can perform as well as or better than grade Holstein herds under similar management conditions.
