The oil extraction from wheat germ using dichlormethane as the solvent is presented. The continuous Carrousel type extractor was used for the extraction. The characteristics of the raw material - wheat germ and the extracted oil were investigated. The experimental data show that the used solvent - dichlormethane - is more convenient for the extraction than the hexane. As it is easier to remove it from the meal, the process is faster and can be performed at lower temperatures - 30 deg C. The main quality parameters of the wheat germ oil obtained in the industrial plant are within the limits of the specification of imported wheat germ oil, with the exception of FFA content. This value is higher in the obtained oil as the raw material - wheat germ - was not stabilized.
