Larger ingestion of the sunflower oil (20 g) in the diet did not significantly alter the total liver lipid content or the serum lipids of the rats. Contrary to that, such diet induces a significant deposition of the cholesterol in the liver. Chronic ingestion of the alcohol along with the diet described does not have any influence on the liver lipid content or the plasma lipidemia in rats. Long-term associated ingestion of alcohol and hydrocortisone induces a significant increase of total cholesterol and lipids in rat liver who ingested 20 g sunflower oil. These changes were not associated with changes in total lipidemia or cholesterolemia in rats
