The fertility potential and the yield of grape of the variety Riesling Italian in Zitkovac vineyard district [Serbia, Yugoslavia]

The biggest vegetative potential exhibited trunks of variant 2 (40 buds per trunk) - 2.0 kg/trunk and the lowest exhibited trunks of the variant 1 (32 buds per trunk) -1.1 kg/ha. The biggest differences dependent of the variants was observed in the grape yield. Variant 1: 12.2 t/ha, variant 2: 13.4 t/ha, and variant 3: 16.2 t/ha. Content of the sugar compared with the grape yield have shown the opposite results. The results of the investigations suggest pruning of the variant 2 (40 buds per trunk) because of the stability of the yield, content of the quality of the wine and that variant is recommended for the production praxis.
