Effect of seeding date on some wheat leaf parameters

Effect of seeding date on some leaf parameters (leaf area per plant, leaf area index, specific weight of leaf) were investigated. Four seeding dates and two wheat genotypes were examined in the field experiment. Trial was designed as randomized block design with four replications. Soil type was smonitza in degradation (vertisol). All parameters were investigated in the jointing and in the full flowering. Leaf area index (LAI) and leaf area per plant were decreasing with later seedling date in both plant stages. Opposite of them, values of specific weight of leaf were significantly increasing with later seeding date.
