[Powdery mildew of plane tree, a new disease for Yugoslavia]

The occurrence of strong powdery mildew on plane trees (Platanus acerifolia (Sit.) Willd.) in Bar (Montenegro seaside, Yugoslavia) was registered in the middle of June 1989. The perfect stage of fungus was not found in the next years. On the basis of conidium stage, it could be concluded that it was Microsphaera platani Howe which was not earlier registered as a plane tree parasite in Yugoslavia
