Micrometeorological parameters like criteria for irrigation scheduling

Some micrometeorological parameters essential for evapotranspiration calculation are analyzed in order to verify the possibility of their application for irrigation scheduling of a soybean crop grown in semi-arid region (South Italy). Besides leaf water potential which characterizes plant water status, two automatic micrometeorological criteria for irrigation scheduling were studied: ration between sensible heat flux H and net radiation Rn, and air temperature difference between two levels over canopy (0.5 m and 2.0 m) obtained by simplified aerodynamic system measurements
