Yield and trade quality of Kragujevac [Yugoslav] triticale cultivars

Two spring triticale cultivars Zlatar and Soko and winter triticale Kg-20, created in Institute for Small Grains, Kragujevac (Yugoslavia), were recognized by Yugoslav Commission for Cultivars Approval between 1980 and 1990. These cultivars achieved higher grain yield and quality than standard varieties. Crude protein content in spring triticale cultivars was especially high. Mentioned cultivars had high yields in micro trials in Kragujevac too. They had large kernels, with satisfying plumpness and high protein content. Grain filling and protein content were considerably influenced by year conditions.
