Economical application of fertilizers in vegetable crops production

The objective of the study was to establish the economical doses of N, P and K fertilizers in growing pepper, tomato, cabbage, onion, peas and snap beans. A large number of trials were established on a chernozem soil type at the experimental fields of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad (Yugoslavia). Each trial was conducted for three years. Uptake of N, P and K and the effect of different doses of fertilizers on the yield of the crops were studied.
