[Producing characteristics of genotypes of blue alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and hybrid alfalfa (Medicago media Pers.)]

Ten blue alfalfa and ten hybrid alfalfa genotypes were studied. The genotype of blue alfalfa S-10 and the genotype of hybrid alfalfa M-16 had the highest yields of dry matter of 4 and 3.7 t/ha, respectively. The genotype S-9 of blue alfalfa and the genotype M-18 of hybrid alfalfa had the highest number of pods per inflorescence, which was 11.6 and 9.2, respectively. The genotype S-7 of blue alfalfa and the genotype M-12 of hybrid alfalfa had the highest number of seeds per pod, 5.4 and 4.6, respectively. The highest yield of seed per plant was achieved with the genotype S-9 of blue alfalfa and with the genotype M-15 of hybrid alfalfa, which was 2.5 and 2.2 g, respectively.
