[Usability of the Yugoslav corn hybrids for special processing]

NS-hybrids of the different ripening groups FAO 200 to 700 with yellow and white grain were analyzed in this paper. Evaluation of the usability of hybrids selected for special processing were based on determination of physico-chemical, anatomic, structural and nutritional characteristics of grain and its fractions. For the production of grits, meal, flakes, paste etc. the following hybrids were selected for human nutrition: NSSC 410, NSSC 370, NSSC 288, NSSC 425, NSSC 302, NSSC 620, NSSC 650, NSSC 699, NSSC 78 and NSSC 609 E; for production of edible oil NSSC 625 and for the production of extruded and expanded products (so-called "Sneck food") NSSC 420, NSSC 516, NSSC 506, NSSC 808, NSSC 607, NSSC 675, NSSC 836 and NSSC 606.
