Studies on the quality of locally produced brands of bottled drinking-water [in Bangladesh]

The quality of five brands of locally produced bottled drinking-water available in the market were studied with respect of several chemical and microbiological parameters and compared with the internationally accepted specifications. The quality of the investigated water samples were found to be quite satisfactory with respect to the chemical parameters but some of the samples were not satisfactory in terms of microbial counts. It is worthy to note that some of the investigated water samples didn't comply with their labelling.
