Study on the situation of cuttings and the capacity of root growth for Pinus koraiensis

This paper describes cuttings type, cuttings position of growth, period of collection cuttings, diameter and length of cuttings in relationship with root growth rate. The results show that root growth rate of cuttings of sprout branch is higher 17-60 percent than none sprout branch. Optimum date for cuttings is before the first of May in north part. The optimum standard of 5 years old cuttings as: 3-5 cm length, 0.4-0.6 diameter
