All fertlizers used in Estonia contain to a certain extent heavy metals. However, the content of several heavy metals is considerably lower in the mineral fertilizers used in Estonia than in those used and produced in some other countries. Fertlizers used in Estonia contain so little heavy metals that the changes in the total content of heavy metals in soil remain usually within the limits of determination accuracy, however, several fertilizers may affect the solubility and mobility of some heavy metals in soil, influencing thus also the content of mobile compounds of corresponding heavy metals
