The complete larval series of Paralomis hystrix (De Haan) was described and illustrated based on laboratory-reared specimens. The larval development of the present species consits of two zoeal and a megalopa stage, and is an abbreviated type as in other Paralomis species. The larval characters of Paralomis are also compared with other members of the Lithodinae
